Laura Glancy graduated from Edge Hill University with a Masters in Nineteenth-Century Studies in 2022. Her dissertation explored the representation of the female drunkard in early and mid- nineteenth-century fiction and culture. She continues to independently research women’s alcohol consumption in the long nineteenth century. She currently acts as the Communications Officer for the Women and Alcohol research project.
