Transnational Subjects, a recently launched journal published in the UK by Glyphi (and edited by Katrina Gulliver, “the most influential historian on Twitter”), announces a special issue for spring 2013 on the “Transnational Histories of Drugs.”
From the CFP:
The scope of the issue is broad: issue editor Ashley Wright seeks submissions that engage with any aspect of the history of drugs or alcohol from a transnational perspective. Articles may examine, for example, a substance’s production, consumption, movement along transnational networks, as well as its cultural, social or political identity. Both medical and non-medical contexts may be considered. Deadline for submissions is August 15, 2012. Transnational Subjects has an online submission system, which can be accessed here.
